Years 1, 2, 3 & 4 will be celebrating the Queen's 90th Birthday on Friday 10th June 2016. The children have asked for a street party theme with party food and games. We would also like to invite parents and carers to join us as part of the celebrations for some tea and cake. FOG will be providing teas and coffees for the adults and would love some cake contributions too. Please look out for the fairy cake recipe in the FOG newsletter.
As part of the special day, we would like the children to design and make a crown fit for a King or Queen. The entries will be judged on the day and there will be a prize for the best crown in each class. There will be a crown parade at the start of the party to showcase all the children’s amazing work. The dress code for day is best party clothes. Please speak to your class teacher if you need more information.
For the celebrations to be successful we will need each child to contribute towards the food on the day. Each class will put up a party food list similar to the Christmas party for parents to sign up to. This will be available on the classroom doors from Monday 6th June 2016.
